    Description

Blue Star Line: A sixteen-page brochure from the mid-1930s describing Blue Star Line's newly inaugurated routes to Australia and New Zealand.
New intermediate ships such as the AUSTRALIAN STAR, NEW ZEALAND STAR, and IMPERIAL STAR were built for the routes.
Half-tone photos, unidentified as to vessel, show a portrait at sea of a stately one-stacker, Dining Saloon, a double room with private bath, Smoking Room, Promenade Deck, and an aerial of Blue Star's deluxe cruiser liner ARANDORA STAR.
Also shown are sample menus for all three meals plus photos of low-rise Sydney and Wellington. A list shows a fleet of thirty-one. A fold-out route map shows that ships to New Zealand sailed via the Panama Canal while those Australia bound used the Suez.
Most Blue Star ships were lost in WW2.
    Excellent condition.
