Description

Large lot of 119 Vintage / Antique Letters To Era Pace Reagin 1911-1970 - Interesting. I read them all! From 1911- 1918 she was Era Pace living in Huntsville, TX and letters seemed to be mostly from female cousins. Mostly concerned with who was dating whom. Era had a couple of suitors who were soldiers in WWI but ended up marrying Thomas E. Reagin. Reference to so many people dying from flu in 1918. In 1917 Thomas Reagin was court-martialed and the court martial paper is included. Once married she moved to Decatur, GA and the letters pick up again from 1949-1970. Early letters there are from son, Wallis at school to become an ophthamologist. He moves back to Decatur to practice and daughter Vivian gets married and moves to Tennessee to be married and then the letters are from her.  Vivian's letters are about home decorating, raising her child, fashion (some letters include fabric swatches). Vivian's mother-in-law is a drunk so there are references to that through the years. Hours and hours of entertainment.
ENJOY!!  :)
