A VERY RARE ORIGINAL WWI era PATTERN 1907 "Sword" Bayonet and Scabbard made by Wilkerson for the British SMLE (Short Magazine Lee Enfield) Rifle. This P1907 bayonet has some interesting stamps. It has the very rare "W.S.C." (for Wilkerson Sword Company) stamp as most you see have Wilkerson spelled out on the bottom of the ricasso. The one (in 1907) appears to have worn off or was missed when stamped. There are the stamps "11" along with "42" also. I know many of these were re-issued during WWII so this is probably a re-issued date stamp. The grips are stamped "SLAZ43". The other side of the ricasso has a faint "X" (for bend test) and maybe a faint crown stamp? The scabbard has a faint "RE" stamp. And the number "389" on the throat opening. The blade is 17 inches.
