Reprint of TM 11-487A, RADIO COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT, DIRECTORY OF SIGNAL CORPS EQUIPMENTS. Dated 08/28/1950. 268 Pages. Heavy Covers, Screw Post Bound.
Beginning in 1950, the Signal Corps revised TM 11-487 and split it into multiple volumes by type of equipment. TM 11-487A contains the ground radio communication equipment. Some new equipment that had come into service after WW-II was added and some equipment considered obsolete before the end of the War was dropped.
Each radio or radio set is covered on from one to four pages, usually with a photograph. Information given includes technical specifications (input and output power, frequency range and types of emission, etc.), list of major components, and relevant technical manual.
