    A
    shtray from the steamship
    NORMANDIE
    of the Compagnie Generale Transatlantique designed by Jean Luce. From the onboard service.  Used at the time of her maiden voyage, but so many were taken by passengers that later the
    NORMANDIE's
    name was covered and then later completely removed from the ashtrays.  This is one of the rarer green ones, as the cream colored ones are more common.  Measures 3.25" by 2.75".  Designed by Jean Luce, with the Jean Luce logo on the underside.
    Please see photos for condition.  There is a small flake/chip to the glaze on one side (see photo).  Otherwise there are no cracks or other signs of wear. This is an original item, not a reproduction.
