Toshiba Walky 1984 Coca Cola FM Sterio Receiver Radio Model RP-S5/c Very Rare

Here’s a retro and somewhat rare Toshiba Coca-Cola Coke FM Stereo pocket receiver. I purchased this vintage Toshiba “Walky” style radio through a merchandise offer from the Cola Clan Club in October 1984. Toshiba released its model RP-S5 FM stereo receiver in 1982. In 1984 the Coca-Cola Company along with a local marketing firm, Markatron, Inc. licensed Toshiba to make a promotional Coke Walky model. The model number for this limited promo as seen on its packaging is RP-S5/c.
After many years of enjoyment and use my Coke radio is still in very good  condition. I placed two AAA’s in its very clean battery compartment, put on the headset, then tuned in an FM channel. Great sound, all operations checked out and both the radio and headphones were performing as designed. FYI no batteries are included in the sale. There are a few issues to mention resulting mostly from normal use and the ageing process. As you can see from the pictures provided the headphones are missing their original cushion padding around the speakers. The padding has disintegrated over the years from use and time in storage. I believe you can fine suitable headphone replacement padding by searching on line. The headset stills fits comfortably over the ears even without the padding. The Coke graphic are very clear and bright. There is some minor edge ware or rub-off of the black
surface color on the right side edge of the radio as pictured. This issue is very minor and was simply caused from normal use over the years. The original Coca-Cola red box and packaging is in relatively good condition but does exhibit some age and storage ware. To make this sale complete I have all the original paperwork and documents that include a unique unused radio storage or carrying pouch with Coke logo. The other paper work includes the owner’s manual and other information about the headset and warranty.
