Vintage Lot of 12 Unused WWII V-Mail Sheets
This is a lot of 12 Unused Vintage WWII V-Mail sheets. These were created during WWII. It combines a letter sized sheet that when folded formed an envelope. The early design was printed in black ink. Later red ink was used to give it a cheery and more patriotic look. Graphics are very visible. One side has space for address and instruction on how to send. The other side has a large area for correspondence. This side also has a space for the Censor seal. During the war, letters to / from the armed forces were reviewed to make sure secrets were not being revealed. There is a crease in the middle from how item was stored by original owner. Measures approximately 5 3/8 inches x 4 1/8 inches folded closed and 11 x 8 ½ inches when folded open.
