Vintage Original Aldinis Backstage
This is a fun sucker-type effect, where the magician apparently explains how magic works.
Shown are a small hand-held platform, with a hanging drape, two plaques, and a jumbo playing card. The plaques are placed upright into slots on the platform, and the card is placed between them. Voila!
When the plaques are removed, the card has vanished. Magician shows that the card has fallen through a slot on the platform, and is hanging below, behind the drape. But in the end, the drape is whisked a way, and the card has truly vanished. Kids love the explanation, and then getting fooled at the end. And no spectator is made to feel "wrong" or ""dumb" in this routine.
