    WWI Trench Art Officer's Sword/ Dagger(?)
    Royal Horse Artillery 1914.
    Royal Canadian Artillery 1915.

    Be this a Regimental Tradition, a retrofit for the closed quarters trench fighting, or a personal disgrace, this sword and its inscription have a story to tell.

    Hilt: 6.25" long by 3.5" wide
    Blade: 14.5" long by 1" wide.
    Total: Approximately 21" long by 3.5" wide
    Inscription: "E.F. Locke, 'Hants RHA 1914- RCA 1915"
    Makers Mark: None apparent.
    There is no sheath included with this sword. It has been lost or discarded from its retrofit. As per the photos, there is oxidation and pitting to the blade.
