WWI BRITISH P07 ENFIELD BAYO-WILKINSON 1916-NICE BLADE-WWII SOUTH AFRICAN FROG

Description

Very good condition original WWI British P07 Enfield bayonet that is maker marked “WILKINSON” on the left ricasso and dated “10 ‘16” for October 1916. Right ricasso has several British proof marks. Blade has correct original metal finish of blued ricasso and remaining gray parkerized. Hilt has original blue finish showing some wear. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit with some normal handling marks, lock button functions fine. Fitted in correct original leather scabbard that has steel throat and tip. Leather is soft and supple with some wear, stitching and staples are tight. Also complete with a scarce original WWII era South African P1914 leather frog that has a faint “Broad Arrow U” stamp on the reverse. Leather is soft and supple with some normal wear, stitching and rivets are tight. Complete with scabbard strap and buckle. A nice P07 Enfield bayonet for your collection.
